Chef Tony's Knives are very popular thanks to his Miracle Blade infomercials. However, Anthony "Chef Tony" Notaro is not actually a chef as his nickname suggests. Unlike other Star Chefs such as Anthony Bourdain, Chef Tony began his rise as one of the most successful "as seen on TV" pitchmen as a product demonstrator on the streets of New York in 1971.
While he may not be a culinary talent, Chef Tony's knives have sold in the millions - but don't pay the full retail price of $39.95 - so many have been re-gifted that you can easily find them discounted:
